How to Take Measurements

for Roller Shades, Zebra Blinds, Sheer Shades, and Cellular Shades (Motorized or Manual)

  • Measure the width

    For inside mount, measure the window frame's exact width. For outside mount, measure the desired width, adding extra space for full coverage.

  • Measure the height

    For inside mount, measure the window frame's exact height. For outside mount, measure the desired height, adding extra space for complete coverage.

  • Check the depth

    Ensure the window frame has enough depth for inside mounting. If less than 1.5", the shade must be outside mounted.

  • For the inside mount, please give the exact inside window/door frame size. Do not make any deductions when you are measuring.

  • For the outside mount, please give the measurements of the space you want to cover from left to right and top to bottom. We recommend adding some inches on both width and height to minimize light leakage.
